Inquiring minds want to know:
They all sound the same to me!
It's all one guy.
I liked him as Jackie Coogan.
Acutally, JCM is ok but never found his music that appealing.
Are we talking about the name only or whatever was produced under the name?
If it's the name, I'm going with John Mellencamp. If it's the music, I'm not sure. I'd probably have to go back and see what was released under what.
Edit: Crap....I voted that I don't listen to him - meant to just vote for I like his stuff equally.
Are you of the opinion that the maker of American Fool is of the same talent and ability as the maker of Dance Naked?
I think Mr Mellencamp grew up in public, successfully.
Lonesome Jubilee is my fav, scarecrow is second
I guess this means to address the names under which the albums are credited. I thought his best stuff came out while called "JCM" so that's how I voted...
You are playing in the way this was intended - thank you.
Right, but you weren't very specific with your question. Can't fault us for not interpreting it correctly.
No fault given.
Sometimes how people interpret a question is very interesting.
Went with JCM since Scarecrow is my favorite album of his.
Definitely John Cougar Mellencamp.
I like the guy who recorded Scarecrow (my fave) and Uh-Huh (2nd place).
So I think that's John Cougar Mellencamp.
American Fool is his best album, so I will go with John Cougar. Nothing beats Thundering Hearts.
No ...but he is just the same guy in a different phase of his career. I have "liked" most of his library and don't care what he called himself at that time.
Livin In Miami baby!
Whichevere one recorded Pink Houses.
His best stuff was clearly when he was JCM - he never again came close to the heights of The Lonesome Jubilee.
Is there something wrong with Dance Naked? That song makes me personally very happy.
Actually, I think the album as a whole is far superior to American Fool. He grew as an artist. The song is good, too.
You missed one:
I don't care what he calls himself. And I don't love his music, but ilike some of it.
I prefer his real name, which happens to be John Mellencamp, i also prefer the music he's made under his real name, his last two albums may be his best, but i like it ALL.
Separate names with a comma.
