Who would pay to see if they reunited?

Generally, I'm not really interested in reunions.
If a band's time has gone, it has gone.

Especially, I wouldn't pay for a Genesis reunion because I'm expecting it to be one of the most depressing reunions ever.
The 5-piece guys were rock virtuosos in their 20s. That's something you've better leave alone.
Only Hackett seems to be fit for the job (maybe even better today); Gabriel's voice has another range completely* and a completely different style today. Collins has back problems and can't hold that old demanding pieces**; Banks was already out of shape when the boxsets came out and couldn't play the old solos in real time***. Rutherford... who knows.
Phillips should be there too, helping with 12-strings.

    Possible solutions:
*) digitally corrected playback and/or transposition of the songs (but they did it already for Phil and the farewell tour and the result of hearing songs you know by memory some tone down is NOT uplifting.
**) Chester Thompson might help, but it's not "the original lineup"
***) playback for the keyboard player is the easiest part.
And still it would probably be terribly depressing.

I'd be interested to see what they could do getting back to the studio together, though. Even with another name. But I guess they're too used to work alone by now.

They could use a creative spark, and he could use the cash.

Gabriel / Hackett / Rutherford / Banks / Collins is about the only one that hasn't happened.

Heck, I wouldn't even go see the classic Tull line-up circa 1972 reunite. What a nightmare that would be.

CCR: Only at an "appropriately" sized venue: a Theatre, an Auditorium or Hall (think Town or Radio City Music or Carnegie in NYC). A joint like The Bell House would be more then acceptable. ...Impossible and foolish to hope for a club. A block party in Brooklyn to end the summer would be amazing.

Nobody I'd see at an arena anymore. Or heavens forbid; a Stadium.

Oh, who am I kidding, ALL of them. I'm a sucker. Every band I ever loved, if a "as many original core members as are alive" tour happened, and it was near enough and under 100 bucks, I'll be there, why not? I'll be sad we are no longer all on the same planet soon enough.
