    No ****!
    Seriously ?
Why aren't more people on meds trying this in that case?
And...vinegar can't be far off solving the Middle East crisis.

Must be Apple Cider Vinegar containing the mother of vinegar. Water should be tepid. Great for arthritis and joint issues.

I'm not surprised that a vinegar based liquid would clean records. I'm just surprised I didn't think of it first. My wife uses it for cleaning the floors, counter tops and so on. It is an all around cleaner. I'm going to try it for myself.

Yep....for health, joint pain, weight loss etc. Not for record-cleaning.

It's that "mother" stuff floating around in it. Supposed to be good for digestion too. Anyway back to regular vinegar and cleaning. Do your records smell of vinegar? Seems like it hangs around even after rinsing.

No, not at all. I rinse them under tepid water after cleaning. They don't smell of anything (unless new).

I used to work at a roller skating rink and we'd literally mop the skate floor with white vinegar. Stuff worked great and never seemed to do any harm to the polyurethane.

Apple sells vinegar? Is it patented?

Yes but only under the name iVinegar. Apparently you can only use it to clean Apple's new iRecords that will not play on any Turntable that SH members currently own.

I tried it on my copy of the Doors Absolutely Live last night. I had recently needle dropped it and it sounded too crackly so I decided to re-do it after with cleaning with a vinegar/water solution and then using my standard alcohol/water then distilled water cleaning. I haven't listened to the whole needle drop yet so I'm not certain of the level of improvement.

I cannot say I don't know. Investigation needed on that one.

I'll try a Styrene Pink Floyd The Wall, it's an extra copy so no worry's if it eats through it  , I ended up choosing an old Cash instead of S&G, just waiting for it to dry

One thing for sure, it gave me a nice black shine, the tough thing to determine is if it's actual dirt or just good ol' groove damage on these old lp's...

It's too simple. Many would rather be written a prescription than listen to some old folk remedy that actually works.
Not sure anything can help some other problems...

I wouldn't do it on a brand-new 200 gram LP, but for some of my really old LP's that I occasionally pull out and discover to be very noisy (like my Doors Absolutely Live), heck yeah, I'll try a home remedy before I just get rid of it. Last time I took out AL was about five or six years ago when I was replacing inner sleeves, and one of the inner sleeves of AL actually had a Guinness stain on it. It's one of those things where ya go, "How the hell did I let THAT happen?!"

I wonder what would happen if you put some white vinegar into the distilled water tank of a KLAudio ultrasonic cleaner.

Somebody try it and let me know if it's safe.

    Just kidding!

White vinegar is absolutely essential in cleaning dog poop off a tile floor. Not only will it dissolve everything, there will be no scent left in the area that would make your dog want to go there again.

It also removes urine odors as well.
