Sometimes I play my CDs on my turntable. Best of both worlds.

Haha. I was thinking more like, "CDs are that perfectly photoshopped plastic surgery model with fake boobs and vinyl is that mildly attractive waitress that somehow just turns you into a foaming animal"

The def...or what I consider poetic as a post?... "cd's are like a pretty person lps are like a sexy one" ... was short and sweet, your's was too detailed to fit Slick's def of "poetic". Still liked it though!

Off topic - yes, but has this topic already not been beat to an inch of it's life? I doubt if any of us'es are gonna' say anything truly earth shattering or profound enough to convert anyone off of the format of their choice....so just have fun....until the OP sez otherwise!!!

From what I've read LPs need a lot more mastering because of the medium. I.E., changing of the original sound. CDs are pretty straight forward to what was 100% originally recorded. I guess.

Sorry, but if'n that be true, I have no idea what that has to do with the subject at hand. what actually does " a lot more mastering" even mean? CD's are straight forward? Well if the recording was originally digitally mastered, then possibly/ probably - yes. If it is a remaster of an original analog recording, then is not the digital master a "changing of the original sound"? It's complicated.
