After just seeing the "I am trying to break your heart" DVD, I am fully convinced that Wilco now belongs in the pantheon of the truly great bands. Their songwriting is consistently brilliand AND groudbreaking, their performance chops are absolute, and they have the type of iconic leader in Tweady that sets the truly great (Who, Zepplin, Nirvana, etc) apart from bands that are simply "really good" (for lack of a better way of putting that, but, e.g. Cracker, Bodeans, Son Volt---ope, just trying to get a reaction on that one). Anyway, best rock documentary I've seen (although I'm really looking forward to the Kids are Alright DVD). Can't wait to see Wilco again in Chicago in September!!!!
