Being a Wilco fan is fairly painless. Those boys work their arses off.

Oh I like this. Throw back. Not much a fan of Star Wars.

 

iTunes lists a Sept. 9 release date: Schmilco

 

Wilco Sep. 9 and Teenage Fanclub Sep. 16. That's a good week in releases for my part.

 

Judging by the song lengths on iTunes, and what Locator sounds like, this could be a continuation of the Star Wars sound.

Locator is ok as a Star Wars leftover a la Dark Neon. As a lead-off to a new album? Not so much...‎

 

There is another new song out today, more like the "weird country" vibe they mentioned before. I think Locator is just a tease to warm up the crowd.

 

Cool. Hope it's better than their last few. They put together one of the best album runs ever from Being There through Sky Blue Sky. The last three though have been IMO still good but also underwhelming.

 

Interesting track to release as a preview. I like it (I'm a fan of Star Wars) ... I was thrown a little bit when the lineup changed but I'm slowly warming back up. Star Wars was my favorite since A Ghost Is Born although I would imagine I'm in the minority there.

 

Love the last three albums and the new song. This should be good.

I basically need to give everything after "AM" "a more attentive listen" A friend is a big fan and he made it his mission to regularly update my Wilco vinyl. "Whole Love", Tweedy and "Star Wars" are still in shrink. Guess I'll be getting the new one too

 

Even though it's not a blockbuster for the ages, I rather like the understated, lo-fi quality of "Locator".

Great news, always happy to receive a new Wilco record. And it will drop in time for the upcoming Euro tour.
Now, can I manage to survive until release day without previewing any of the teaser tracks???

They're doing a green vinyl edition for the EU store and upcoming tour, BTW.
