Here's my opinion: you guys should go back and listen to Tweedy's "Sukierae" again. It's an amazing album, better than Wilco's last two releases, although they're also great.

So between the album title and "If I Ever Was A Child" sounding very much like Nilsson, is this sort of a Nilsson tribute album? Do the rest of the songs sound similar? If so, I may be buying my first Wilco album.

It's so you don't sell your off center Ltd edition pink vinyl and put it out into circulation and/or don't get 2 copies for the price of 1.

I love the warm tone and slow pace of this album

Star Wars lacked a fleshed out sound

Then again I like Snorah Jones a lot too

No question in my mind! Sukierae is the best thing Tweedy has done in a long time... totally way better than the last 3 Wilco albums easily.. It reminds me of Loose Fur + Wilco = GREAT

The drum sound on Sukierae is what killed it for me- no doubt Spencer is a great player (and you can definitely hear him play on Schmilco here and there), but the drums just overwhelmed the songs.

Yep! They sound really flabby to me... the tuning and mic'ing on Glen's drums always sound perfect... plus he's a hard drummer to match (listen to Apostolic by Loose Fur, for example).

My orange vinyl unfortunately has a scratch through the last 3 songs on side 1. Sound would be great except for the pop every revolution. Side 2 was only slightly off center. Only noticed with the organ fade out. Contacted Kung Fu, hopefully a replacement can be sent.

for those who have seen the latest live shows

how are the Wilco Schmilco song incorporated into the set?

in chunks, does the band flesh out what appears to be a tweety solo album with a little florishments
Nels and company jarring amp'd up versions?

    interested

    "Happy Bar Mitzvah Seth!"
    "Sgt. Wilco"
"The Plot of Pirates of the Carribbean" (misspelled in the video)
    "Wilco?!?!?!?"
    "Walmart: The Album"

Kung fu offered a black vinyl replacement straigh up. However if I wanted a replacement orange vinyl then I needed to provide proof that I destroyed my defective orange copy.

For the record and to follow up, after I realized that the pink Schmilco I had bought from my local record store was off center on side 2 and subsequently emailed Kung Fu about it, they told me to send them a photo of the record having been broken, which I did. And now I have a new 'properly pressed' pink copy en route to my homestead. Cheers to Kung Fu, and cheers to Wilco for the great album.

Also they offered me a choice between orange and pink. I stuck with what I knew.

I bought a pink vinyl copy though the mail and sure enough side two is off center. Will have to look into returning it. I didn't buy it through kung fu though.

That one's extra great since it's a callback to the old piece from The Onion with the fake Weird Al Yankovic's notes showing his thought process for trying to come up with song parodies: "Stairway to... but WHAT?" That one cracked me up over and over. Thanks for posting the full list.
