Wilko Johnson is cured of cancer

Excellent news.

 

Good on him. So it was pancreatic cancer? If so, that's even better, there's usually no way back from pancreatic cancer. Great news for him and others.

 

It is treatable...the problem is that most people aren't diagnosed until it's too late. The lack of pronounced symptoms in the early stages are what makes this such a killer.

I've seen Wilco just once in 1975. I had no idea, it was just a spur of the moment festival I went to. They had just released the mono album (sorry to see that go 10 years ago, sold LPs, about 100). I was looking for the "other guitarist" for the first 5 minutes of the set. (For the Finns, it was the second time I saw Juice and the only time I saw the Hurriganes. I have a picture of Cisse, it was hard to photograph up front, tall stage at Oulu.)
