I read some big time promoter offered a deal they wouldn't refuse over $700 million to tour but Plant didn't go for it each member was to make $190 million. Myself I think the deal fell through because the promoter's
son was to play the drums and Plant maybe didn't agree

Never. It's over. Just look at Robert Plants face any time he's asked that question.

They are waiting for a jimmy Page 80th birthday to play a world tour. Nothing more sinister sounding then Zep rocking out to I My Time Of Dying playing in wheelchairs.

A band that has been broken up for 35 years and in 2015 people are still starting threads asking will they tour again. Seriously?
And for the record, no the Beatles won't be getting back together again either.

What is up with this forum?

Look for them on tour as holograms in 2030, with Jimi Hendrix.

Plant was stupid, turning down almost a billion dollars and all he had to do was let the promoter's son play drums.

It's been over and done with since 9/25/80. We really need to let it go.

Does anyone REALLY want to see Plant gyrating around and screaming to "Whole Lotta Love" as if he were still 25?!? Of course not, because he can't do it and he knows it. LZ is a mere shadow of itself without the banshee wails, orgasms, mysticism, and general sense of mayhem and youthful exuberance. Youthful sexual energy is just that: youthful. Those guys ain't spring chickens anymore, and anything they do at this point would probably suck. It would consist of either 1) A cringeworthy attempt at pulling off the same tricks they did back in '71, which would only serve to embarass themselves and make the audience feel uncomfortable, or 2) An equally cringeworthy attempt at putting on a "mature" performance consisting of an evening of nostalgia (yuck) and "reimagined classics" arranged with all acoustic instruments, strings (not the cool Mellotron variety), and perhaps even a gospel backup choir which would only serve to tarnish their devil-may-care legacy and, dare I say, render it a bit impotent.

I actually have a lot of respect for Plant, if that was true.

Let me just call Robert Plant. Hold on. I guess he's in the garage. Just a minute. Ah, here he comes.

    No.
