Finally. There hasn't been a new superhero movie trailer in like 3 days.

She's cute, but meh, another generic superhero pastiche.

Considering Wonder Woman's history and how historically tied she is to WWII*, it is an interesting change to involve her in WWI.

Overall, I liked the trailer and it looks like it might be an interesting movie.

*In the comics when they reintroduced Wonder Woman as a modern character (deleting her long history), they eventually made her mother the Wonder Woman of WWII via time travel (she traveled into the past, spent years fighting in WWII, and returned to the present a few minutes after she left).

It would been nice to use different actress.. as many of us talked about..

I'm just guessing here, but I bet this movie runs into a lot of controversy before it finally gets released. I can already imagine all the whining and crying about something they got wrong or something they did to offend some group of people. It seems like films either get a bunch of whining or they simply fly under the radar.

I'm looking forward to this movie more then I have looked forward to a movie in a long time. I think the previews look really good. I have always been a bigger Wonder Woman fan then any of the other super heroes. Its really kind of bothered me that they never did one sooner.

Unfortunately, that's the nature of our internet culture. Criticize first, watch later.

I'll go see this one. I skipped the BvS movie. I'll probably rent that - maybe I'll buy it? But this Wonder Woman movie looks interesting enough!

There is only one Wonder Woman! All others are expensive imitations!

Hush your mouth! It was the best show on to when I was little (well that and the muppets!). She was my idol, and still is :D when I grow up, I want to be just like her-ok, I'm 41 now so time is running out, but a girl's gorts have dreams :D

  21. Based on that initial trailer, you can definitely tell this is set in the same generally miserable universe established by Zack Snyder due to the lack of Wonder Woman's iconic invisible plane... Or did I just miss it?

It's invisible. If you didn't see it, it must have been there.

Wonder Woman's invisible plane hasn't been used regularly in the comics in years. Diana doesn't need it since she has the ability to fly, although they did later introduce an invisible plane (actually a device that can take many forms, including a plane).

  24. I had no interest in seeing this film until just now, after I found out it takes place during the Great War. How incredibly cool! Indeed, it's remarkably cool. The mass audience doesn't get to see that much about the war to end all wars. It's really a pity that the focus is all the time on the Nazis. Big difference, Imperial Germany. And as much as I love Linda Carter, the ass on this new Wonder Woman is really a wonder. In fact, Linda Carter looks a little busted up compared.
