Would anyone recommend a place in LA to get a turntable repaired?

Nothing special: Technics SL-QD33 with Audiotechnica Series VIII cartridge.

Turntable up and running

I went to Brooks Berdan, a beautiful shop in Monrovia, CA. They spent 30-40 minutes tinkering with my turntable. The turntable is permanently damaged and parts are unavailable but they got it running again. They did not charge for labor but I did end up buying a new Grado blue cartridge. Really nice helpful people.

Right now I am enjoying my stereo copy of Beatles for Sale. Thanks a lot for the recommendation.

 

When it comes to analog, Brooks is "The Man" by FAR!!!
