    Now less than ever! :p
The idea of a single 'White Album' is not too bad but we all have probably a different tracklist and a release need one.
Way to difficult so I just create the tracklist myself.

That was just some jam during the 'I Will' session. Some bootlegs have the full version of it (check the video).
Hope there will come a White Album box set soon with this complete jam included.

This is a pretty cool mash up on you tube extended to a little over two minutes.

Seems like there are plenty of jams, studio rehearsals and unheard “fly on the wall” material from this era to entice any fan were they to edit and release it. Throw in a new mix of the complete Home Demos and I would be sold.

Sure. It's The Beatles. Just as long as they don't try to title the single lp as "The Beatles". :D

I know. Like getting 15 songs instead of 30 is some kind of virtue. But to each his own....

Would a single record be a better record? Maybe. Would it sell more? No. The question I ask is: Is there really a way to whittle this down to make it a more impressive package? Nah, IMO. It's the Beatles. Now, if you had said 2 single albums, I could bite on that. One comes out around October 31, 1968. Deluxe with 4 glossy photos in a white sleeve called The Beatles. It's an eclectic album with a mix of styles:

    Side 1
    1. Back In The USSR
    2. Dear Prudebce
    3. Glass Onion
    4. Wild Honey Pie
    5. Bungalow Bill
    6. Sexy Sadie
    7. Everybody's Got Something To Hide....
    8. I Will
    9. Happiness Is A Warm Gun

    Side 2
    1. Martha My Dear
    2. Revolution 1
    3. I'm So Tired
    4. Rocket Raccoon
    5. Piggies
    6. Why Don't We Do It in the Road
    7. Revolution 9 (edit)
    8. Long Long Long
    9.Good Night

The other album is called Beatles Again. This one comes out 2nd week in December 1968. Much more hits-oriented versus little ditties. Comes with a cool poster. It's too bad that iconic Hey Jude cover photo was several months away, because that's the one I would like to use.

    Side 1
    1. Hey Jude
    2. Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da
    3. While My Guitar Gently Weeps
    4. Blackbird
    5. Don't Pass Me By
    6. Honey Pie
    7. Julia

    Side 2
    1. Birthday
    2. Yer Blues
    3. Mother Nature's Son
    4. Helter Skelter
    5. Savoy Truffle
    6. Cry Baby Cry
    7. Revolution

As you probably know, the White Album doesn't fit onto a standard 80 minute cdr, so some tracks have to be cut out. "Goodbye" is always one to get axed (along with Rev 9) :)

Not a bad idea at all--it's how Radiohead ended up with Amnesiac: from material culled during the recording of Kid A.

For mine, the group releases one album on November 22nd, 1968, titled Revolution (also, the Yellow Submarine soundtrack was orchestral-only, freeing up several of those studio cuts).

    Beatles / Revolution:

    Side A

    1-Revolution (single)
    2 Dear Prudence
    3 Martha My Dear
4 The Continuing Story Of Bungalow Bill
    5 All Together Now
6 While My Guitar Gently Weeps
    7 Blackbird

    Side B

    8 Back In The USSR
    9 Glass Onion
    10 Mother Nature's Son
    11 Sexy Sadie
    12 Long Long Long
    13 I Will
    14 Hey Jude

Then on January 3rd, 1969, the band releases the decidedly darker, weirder, harder rocking and less-jaunty A Doll's House with the remaining material of this time, just as they're entering the soundstage rehearsals for Let It Be.

    Beatles / A Doll's House:

    Side A

    1 Me & My Monkey
    2 Yer Blues
    3 Not Guilty
4 Why Don't We Do It in the Road
5 Happiness Is A Warm Gun
    6 Julia

    Side B

    7 Sour Milk Sea
    8 Hey Bulldog
    9 I'm So Tired
    10 Piggies
    11 Helter Skelter
12 Cry Baby Cry / Can You Take Me Back
    13 Revolution 9

Very John-centric. But I like the Revolution single opening the show.

    I definitely wouldn't.

If I wanted a single LP (which I don't) I could come up with a track list myself.

I don't care much for the input of half-the-band, 50 years after the fact.
