It matters if we are talking about native Americans or native Russians.

Simon Yorke's website says Medvedev got a CAT (Compact Archival Turntable) from them, so he's good to go for 78s and 16" transcriptions as well.

Is there a particular fascination with Deep Purple in Russia?

When I did work in St. Petersburg in the early 90s, I was asked to try and find "Deep Purple and the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra" on vinyl for one of our associates. Interesting.

When did the Berlin Wall fall? It's amazing that it hasn't taken long for American's image of Russians to change from a dumpy woman standing in line for potatoes to this.

  14. I dunno about that. Ever watch the Bond flicks with the sultry Russian women spies? Or the comedy send-ups of Russian women with sexy-as-all-get-out accents (think Boris and Natasha)? The image of the beautiful Russian bombshell has been with us a LONG time . . .

If I only knew of whom in this forum this reminds me...LOL..
seems after all that their CD players are the real hit compared o what others have to offer.
That all in the same Naim style and function concept sure is clever - addicting and once the NAIM-ist got everything they have to offer starts to change over to another brand - just keeps the CD player. Strange concept, but it works.... Burmester anybody ?

Based on what I heard at Tonepub's place, he'd be better off with Burmester. ;)

Well, given his TT, phono stage and the fact that he's holding a copy of Pink Floyd's DSOTM, I'd say it's a safe bet. :agree:

Or for Samantha... Looks like after his divorce from Kim Cattral Mark Levinson doesn't have to care about WAF anymore...:D But jokes and all I would like to hear these speakers. :righton: But given that Medvedev has to drive 'em with 4 monoblocks bi-amped these babys are not easy.
