X-files reboot?

a fan of a show doesn't have to like every episode. they're allowed to keep watching the show and they're also allowed to critique. see?

 

Just as I'm allowed to say I think they're wasting their time, see? I didn't say he isn't allowed to dislike a episode. I just noticed that he's disliked pretty much everything X-files since last season and asked why he was still bothering. It must be sooooo much fun to watch a show that you know you're going to dislike. Even more fun to tell everyone about how much you don't like it.

 

But if the next show is Dana's last, that kind of makes it all moot, right?

 

Not if she's abducted by aliens... again.

 

It would be a simple way to wrap her story up and then continue with a new female lead.

 

sorry to say that i have lost interest in the x-files.

 

Wow, I just watched this week's episode and man, put that up there with Home and other macabre things like the film Antichrist; compelling and chilling, but I don't know if I'll ever have the desire to watch it again.

 

Won't be the first time she's changed her mind.

 

It was a little creepy but nothing like Home. That one still bothers me when I think about it.

 

i think we want to compare because they're both on par for most shocking for the show, but yeah thematically very different. this one was just gross and the subject matter was way more far-fetched than home.

 

She seems bored on the show, definitely low energy. However I don’t see an easy way to have her leave the show and stay away unless they kill off her character.

 

5 out two seasons..

 

The whole thing needs a goose. Every week Mulder and Scully just look old and tired and over it. They should have made a third 'conspiracy wrap-up' movie and left it at that.

I watched I Want To Believe movie jeeze he has aged..
It's a lot better than I remember I hell a lot better than X-files 2.0

 

Mulder’s energy seems to have picked up as the season progressed. If they’re going to insist on going forward with additional seasons some new casting is needed. Bring in a younger team and move Mulder to a supervisory role with occasional guest appearances.

 

Duchovny tweeted that tonight's finale ends on a massive cliffhanger. I hate you Chris Carter.

 

So lets all tune in to see if does Dana gets abducted.

Yeah, I remember the last time the star of a returning cult 90s series sent out a tweet...

 

That was fantastic and if it is truly the end then I am more than satisfied.

 

I thought they did a good job of kinda wrapping up the William/CSM plot and ending on an ambiguous yet hopeful tone.

This was much more satisfying than last season's finale. And if it is truly the end, good for them.

 

This episode was amazing! One of the best mythology arc episodes in the entire series. It was incredibly fast-paced and very intense! Chris Carter, you knocked it out of the park with this one!

Monica Reyes is gone. CSM is gone for the fourth time. Will he be back? Hmmm. The revelation that Scully is pregnant was very moving. William is a bonafide badass.

My guess is that like William, CSM has (maybe through injection) the same death-defying properties as William and will be back (if the series is back).

 

way better than the last "season" finale but equally confusing and manic with choppy editing. episode could have benefitted from an extra 20 minutes or so to build cohearance.
