XTC-"Drums and Wires" 5.1 remix/CD available for preorder from Burning Shed

Just got this email:

The revolutionary Drums And Wires, from 1979, is the second in a series of expanded XTC album reissues, including 5.1 Surround mixes, new stereo mixes and High-Resolution stereo mixes of the original material, along with a wealth of extra audio and visual material.

Both the cd/blu-ray and cd/dvd-a editions are presented in special packaging with an expanded booklet featuring sleeve-notes by Andy Partridge, Colin Moulding and Dave Gregory.

All pre-order copies come with exclusive postcards signed by Andy Partridge.

Maybe. I don't have any 5.1 systems. Maybe the cd or a hi resolution file.

 

I'll be getting it. The Nonsuch release was wonderful, and I can see this one being even better, especially with all those extras, that a few years ago would've been released as 5 disc box set or somesuch!
