Hmmm...When I bought this set yesterday, the shipping charge was just the standard $3 + $1.50 surcharge for the entire order.

I guess they decided that was a mistake.

Still a good price, but not as hot as when I got mine

I had bought this about a year or so when then price was around the $170 mark. Worth every dollar then and even more so at these prices.

 

Yeah, but for that price you could get the SACD or Speaker's Corner vinyl reissue of Janos Starker's justifiably famous recording of the Bach Cello Suites.

I see this box set has been out a while. I just ordered it from Importcds using a 10% off code they are currently running. With shipping the total came to $103.35. Doing the higher math that's $1.14/cd. With the packaging and the book I could not resist.

Classical music hasn't been very important to me over the years, although I have a modest collection of classical LPs and CDs.

This Yo Yo Ma box set will certainly change that.

I'm only three CDs into the 90-CD collection, and I am very impressed. The sound and playing are stunning.

The accompanying book, filled with stories about the artist, photos and liner notes, is also first-rate.

A perfect way to immerse myself in the classical genre.

 

I almost bit on this one...I had bit on the Miles Davis and Tony Bennett boxes.

Then I became hooked on MOG/ Beats...all the albums are there.
