You were close but the thread title is "You get to pick five SACDs to show off the potential of the format.... In other words titles that are already SACDs :).

It's the extraneous "You get to" that got him.

It's in similar situations with my wife where I seemingly have no way out that I exclaim "Hey!........I ain't no hula-hoop eyed, chicken neck jive turkey" which creates such an awkward moment that I then make my escape. It did seem like a wish list scenario though. Maybe I should blame society or blame Bush 43, all the kids are doing it. :D

Frantic is great if slightly uneven. Multichannel is very well done. One of my faves and surprised it doesn't come up more often. It also was on DVD audio which I meant to get but never did.

I have the Frantic DVD-A as it was available last year from Grooves-Inc for around $30. The SACD is hard to find and the prices are quite high. As far as music content goes I prefer Avalon and Boys and Girls over Frantic. I agree that the Frantic multichannel mix is quite good.

I have the 2 dvd set of this and it sounds great, but I guess not as good as the sacd, but it'll have to do!

    Here's 5 of my favorite SACD's that I don't think have been mentioned :

    Propaganda - A Secret Wish <Multichannel>
Doobie Brothers - The Captain And Me <Multichannel>
    David Bowie - Heathen <Multichannel>
Talk Talk - The Colour Of Spring <Stereo>
Simple Minds - New Gold Dream <Stereo> <the dvd-a which is multi-channel and has longer mixes is better, though:agree:>

    Let's make it a six-pack :

Moody Blues - On The Threshold Of A Dream <Multichannel>

I have Hayes Soul and Krauss Favorite, but both are sealed. Convince me to pick one to open!

Does anyone think The Kinks Muswell Hillbillies and Misfits stand out?

Sonny Boy Williamson Keep it to Ourselves (Analogue Productions) deserves consideration. Anyone else like it?

I'd pick the recent Hall & Oates MOFI issues of 'H20' and 'Private Eyes'. They would show how bright and shrill the format can be!

Wow. Missed that one. How does that compare to the two channel MFSL? I do have that and it is one of my favorite SACDs.

    I won't go there ;)
    But I offer this > http://forums.stevehoffman.tv/threads/doobie-brothers-captain-me-japan-wea-sacd-hybrid-5-1.282090/

The old OOP multi-channel DVD-Audio disks of this fetched a dear price prior to this multi-channel SACD release. After the SACD release the OOP DVD-A plumeted. That alone should tell you much.

If you want Captain and Me in multi-channel I wouldn't hold off on the SACD as it seems to be going OOP. But is still available at a reasonable price.
