Presidian 2-Way Bookshelf Speakers

 

I think that is $15 each, or $30 a pair (still a bargain if they sound at all good).

 

Says in the ad Presidian 2 Way Book Shelf Speaker (2)

The (2) meaning 2 are included for the price.

(of course I wouldn't take them even if they were free)

 

Just over a year ago I bought two pair--one for work and one just to have on hand. Unfortunately, I felt guilty about the spare pair and returned them--dumb move.

Anyway, the pair at work (hooked up to an Sherwood RX-4109 sounded OK, but not great). But I brought them home as a temp pair while my Advents await a refoam, and I've been listening to them a ton.

Hooked up to my KR-7600, they really come alive. I'm not saying they compete with high-end speakers, but for the price, they sound great!

I really regret getting rid of that other pair.

 

Okay, so I just refoamed my Advents and A/B'd them (literally!) with there is no comparison. (Not that there should be, of course.) No bass on the Presidians, and the mids and highs are strained and grainy. Pretty poor overall. Sounded good before the A/B, though--especially with a glass of wine or three in me!

Yeah, sorry for bumping it. Trying to do the right thing, I did a search on "Presidian" rather than starting a new thread, and this is what came up--didn't realize it was in Coupons, Discounts & Sales.
