Could not find a thread about this with a little search.

So which soundtrack album is your favorite? why? format?

My favorite has always been My Name Is Nobody. Ever since i was a kid, i really loved Bud Spencer & Terrence Hill movies. My name is nobody is a really nostalgic movie for me and especially the music in it by Ennio Morricone. Truly an amazing western movie with Henry Fonda and Terrence Hill in it.

Best movie ever, best soundtrack ever - either the original United Artists release or the expanded CD by GDM, both are great! :righton:

Anything that catches the mood of the film especially if any extended or instrumental pieces.

I like scores done specifically for a film not so much randomly picked various highly popular songs which when heard as a sound alone does not sound cohesive, more scattershot.

    Try Warner Brothers Film
    Performance 1970
This takes us through many scenes and moods, has instrumentals & vocals alongside some near short incidental though effective pieces.

I'm a big fan of the blaxploitaion genre so if we can count them in I would say Curtis Mayfield - "Superfly" but it's really difficult to choose because there are so many great soundtracks.

The theme to the Warren Beatty espionage thriller, The Parallax View by Michael Small, I will never forget. Probably the best soundtrack that fits the paranoid aspects of the movie's plot like a glove. A portion of it was used in a pivotal scene in Mr. Robot, a similar TV series filmed with a distinct cinematic style.

If you like an intriguing, intelligently told and possibly believable answer to unsolved political assassinations, you won't be disappointed with "Parallax View". Be careful because it will make you a bit paranoid especially with today's technology.

Judgement Night. Dated as all hell and just as ridiculous today as the day it was released.

Preferred format is cassette into a factory tape deck on a 1988 Ford Escort, turned up to 11.

It has a charm to it

Absolutely this. Great film, great soundtrack. I've probably listened to it hundreds of times over the years.

Hasn't aged too well, but it was pretty remarkable at the time. Set the stage for RATM and the whole rap-metal era, for better or worse.
