Great track. I think I like The Stones' version a little better though.

Has "Sunshine Superman" been mentioned yet?

Heard it just now on the radio, it still sounds fresh.

    For your interest and edification:

List of Top 25 singles for 1966 in Australia - Wikipedia

Off that list, my standouts would have to be
    • Eleanor Rigby
    • Friday On My Mind
    • Hitch Hiker (but that was actually released in 1965)
    • Strangers In the Night (one of Sinatra's best)
    • Good Vibrations
    • Nowhere Man/Norwegian Wood (what a double!)
    • Michelle (the original is better, but it was not a single)
    • Tar and Cement (was this the first environmental awareness song? Great song anyway, Verdelle Smith was a one-hit wonder)

:kilroy: This lady had many hits that year. This one doesn't get nearly enough attention:

    Re Nancy Sinatra's "Boots"...

Bob Lind was slightly bitter towards her for her song keeping his "Elusive Butterfly" off the top chart spot in a number of places. He later forgave her, however, when she recorded his song "Long Time Woman", which he states is the definitive version of the song.
