I've owned quite a few...... Marantz, Technics, Kenwood, Sherwood, Yamaha, etc....... They all sound different, and they all sound good! (a golden age of audio)

I'm a Marantz addicted, so it will be a Marantz
I used to have all the big models, 2325-4400-2600..., I still have the 4400 and the 2600The sound is completely different between a 2325-4400 and a 2600. The 2600 has less bass and better high than the other 2.
My preference goes to the 2600.

    The 2325 and 4400

no pix for 2600 at the time, I need to go home to take one.

Harman/Kardon 330B I still love it, even though it's crackling capacitor has just started to annoy me.

I love my Sansuis, both my 4000 and my QRX 7500 Quad. Love the Pioneer SX 1010 a lot, my favorite Marantz receivers are the Model 18 and 19.

In that order. This image is five years old, but the 2600 is going strong.

My 1982 vintage Luxman receiver is still in service and still sounds phenomenal.

I grew up listening through my Dad's Marantz 2238b, so I've always had a soft spot for it and other 70's Marantz pieces. [IMG]

My two favorites Fisher 500 C & McIntosh 1700 for separate listening experiences. I use these more then my RX-V3800. Old school forever.

I have this one. Not a receiver but still a classic. Sounds pretty good in 2 channel mode.

Lots of beautiful receivers. After 42 years of being an audio nut and owning all sorts of makes I've really enjoyed my Fisher 500C since I bought it a few years ago.

    I like my little harman/kardon 50+ that I inherited. I think it's from 1974.

Not a very good picture I know:

  23. There's a Fisher 400 for sale locally from a reputable store. Does $445 sound like a fair price ??

If restored by a good technician and in top cosmetic condition.

I have two favorites, which I happen to own:

A Sansui G-4700 that I bought new in 1979, and a Sansui QRX-6001 which I bought a couple of years ago. Both have been completely restored and sound absolutely beautiful.
