To think that a team of ten people worked on a project like that for years – only for it to end in a plastic box that others use for dirty laundry, still sealed, apparently not even worthy to have a look at.

Don't show these pictures to ol' Eddie Stubbs.

Remember his rate of buying Bear Boxes (one per week?), and that some save a box for when they can really spend some time with it.

I vote "Y" on the use of storage boxes - spend money on music not furniture.

Bit the bullet on Bonnie Owens' set. It's great that they were able to pull together enough information for a 76-page book despite her limited success.

Stuff like this is the heart of country music:

A cd box with the recordings from the ABBOTT label would be great.Lots of famous artists started on this label.

A discography on the ABBOTT label here:

It would certainly be nice if BF got back into the occasional label comp. One obscure label I'd love to see covered is Clix Records of Troy, Michigan. They mostly put out country, rockabilly, and bluegrass. There is a Clix compilation CD on the market but it's full of pops and skips and clicks (clix?), doesn't have any liner notes, and might be a CD-R.

Bear Family website now says "This product will be released at 6 April 2018". I wonder how many months it will take to reach North America.

More UnBear stuff but have you guys seen these Hickory Records Vol 1 and 2, they're only 14 and 15 track CDs, I picked them up for £4 each. They're really good and the sound quality is first rate to my ears.

There's also a Hickory Records Story CD, bit more expensive so I'm gonna have to work harder to track that down for reasonable money.

The original first pressing had an LP and 8 CDs, with the LP just having the few songs with Ella Fitzgerald (BF could not get digital CD rights, so they put those on vinyl). The later pressing got the rights and put those on a 9th CD, no LP in the box

Are new releases always delayed? It seems like for the past 4-5 new box sets, the release dates kept changing to later dates....

Just picked up the Johnson City Sessions box.

I have no willpower (but I do have another Bear Box!).

That Knoxville set will be beckoning shortly...

Next Stop Is Vietnam is probably one of the most amazing box sets from any company.

You'll enjoy the Johnson City box. And you'll enjoy the Knoxville box when you get it.

Do you have the Bristol box? The 3 sets really go together and I can't see how they could be improved. Bear Family at it's best.

I am building an addition to my house to hold all of the imaginary Bear Family boxsets that have not yet been released. I like to plan ahead.
