I was vaguely aware but not a fan til I heard On the Dance Floor (a live big band trib to MJ, the most un-ECM thing on ECM ever!)

The Trio Project for Jazz - Hiromi is a phenom on piano. I don't know who would be a better drummer than Simon Phillips either.

I'll go with the first guy I thought of: Warner Hodges, guitar player for Jason & the Scorchers.

Thought someone might've mentioned him before this, but Ollie Halsall (another leftie like Hendrix) who was in Timebox, Patto and The Rutles as well as playing with Kevin Ayers for quite awhile.

It's a group out of Nashville called Dynamo. They are an amazing jazz funk rock fusion band. I believe they are all studio musicians. Wish they would tour west of the rockies

My cousin had a couple of old cassettes of theirs we made copies of. Even with the internet, I haven't had much luck finding their albums on CD.

There is nothing that can be done about it when the tracks by all three artists that I would have recommended are not available on YouTube, when none is available on CD - and indeed one of the artists would appear to be downright obstructive to its release on CD.

Nevertheless three of my favourite LPs that get played often in this household...

Judd Proctor - Guitars Galore (Morgan)
Wout Steenhuis - Blue Hawaii (EMI Regal Starline)
Jean-Christian Michel Quatuor Avec Orgue - Requiem (original Riviera recording)

I found Nataly Dawn's music by accident a couple of years ago. Now she's touring and giving very small shows east of the Mississippi and I missed the tickets for Rockville! I'm mulling over going to the Baltimore concert but I find driving through rush hour traffic to get to the show a bit daunting so I might not go. This is from her first album How I Knew Her:

Just recently discovered the solo work of 70s folk musician Colin Scot. Loving it...
