Austin has one of the IMAX theaters showing the movie in 70MM but I'm not paying $18 for privilege. After seeing it, I...never mind...that's in a different thread.

The Smithsonian IMAX was $15, which isn't much more than standard evening prices at local theaters. Actually, it's $2.50 LESS than my local Regal charges for their "Regal Premium Experience" - which isn't anywhere near the presentation IMAX offers.

BTW, out of curiosity, I looked and according to the IMAX website, the Bullock Museum is the 70mm location in Austin - and that says it's $13/ticket, not $18. And it's only $11 if you can pull off being 65 or older! :D

Begin Again. My only disappointment was the soundtrack turned out to be nothing like the music in the movie. Had hoped for more stuff from the character's Ipod.......

I was adding parking to the price because there is no free parking around the State Capitol complex and Museum.

Ah - got it! The Udvar-Hazy Center charges for parking if you go before 4PM - $15 a car, which is frinkin' insane given the place is out in the middle of nowhere.

I went to a 7:20 PM show to make sure I wouldn't have to pay the parking fee - it would've turned a $15 movie ticket into a $30 movie ticket!

The last one I remember seeing in the theater was "Terminator II" in June, 1991. I'm not a "movie head"..

Saw WETLANDS several weeks ago. Had intended to catch ON ANY SUNDAY REVISITED this week, but since it looks like it's departing the local theaters after today, I guess I'm going to have to wait for the Blu-ray instead.
