Sparks. Saturday night.
Ian Hunter on Wednesday also.
It was AMAZING! Such a great show. And he played Elephant!!
Just saw him last night. As I said above, it is a great show!
Jools Holland Later 25 at the Royal Albert Hall on 21st September - Foo Fighters , Paul Weller, Van Morrison, Gregory Porter, Dizzee Rascal & various others
I'm interested to see how the actual live performance compares to what is broadcast.
Saw The Sisters of mercy last friday. The next concert planned is Paradise lost, Vampire, Antichrist & Pallbearer the 6th of october.
Going to see Willie Nelson late November. Somehow I've never seen him.
John Gorka, 9/29
Glad to hear you enjoyed it! And, lucky you for getting Elephant at your show. Maybe all of the requests at recent, past shows led him to put it in the setlist.
Willie Nelson & Family were great tonight.
Next concert: Janet Jackson - 11/11
Television at the end of the month.
U2 & Beck
New Orleans Superdome
Pineapple Thief with Gavin Harrison on drums. Tomorrow night at De Boerderij in Zoetermeer.
Well, sadly, I won't be going to see Steve Howe's Yes tomorrow evening.
Saw Procol Harum last week. Up next: The Rolling Stones (30 September), Marillion (9 October) and Golden Earring (end of October)
Al Stewart - St Charles, IL Oct 21st
Casting Crowns in Columbus Georgia(where I was born!) October 27th. Will be awesome!
Wow. I am so jealous! Have never been able to see them, been listening to them ever since Propaganda came out!
Jack Johnson tomorrow
Roger Waters next month
War on Drugs - 9/30 Austin (Stubb's Amphitheater)
Really looking forward to this one. Adam Granduciel is one of the best guitarists of the 21st century, and I love the songwriting; can't wait to hear his tone live!
Spoon - 10/11 Tulsa (Cain's Ballroom)
Been a fan since the first album, but never saw them live. Recent album is outstanding and they seem to have a very good reputation for live performances, so it should be great! Cain's has quite a storied history (in existence since mid-20's) and there's always been a great vibe with any gig I've seen there, which only adds to the anticipation.
Poptone (Daniel Ash & Kevin Haskins from Bauhaus, Tones on Tail and, Love and Rockets) Sept 30, Ottawa.
They cancelled the Friday show. (Was yours cancelled also?)
Edit - never mind, I think I just saw why.
Patti Smith at Central Park Summerstage in about 10 minutes!
Let me know how it goes! I really wanted to go to that one but I'm stuck in another part of the state.
My next concert will be Paul McCartney! He's playing very close to where I live so I felt I ought to go. Even if it's not super and it puts a strain on the wallet, if Paul is playing across the street I gotta be there!
Pat Benatar 9/22, then LEZ Zeppelin on 10/13.
