I saw him just the once (London South Bank in a show with Joe Boyd) and he was SO much better than on record.
No plans for any concerts. I go less and less. Generally, the experience doesn't any longer justify the cost. No regrets.
Next for me is 3 nights of Alejandro Escovedo at the City Winery, NYC - 1/19, 20, 21
March 3rd, Once (newish venue), Somerville MA.
Nothing planned. Couple of shows coming up(Nikki Lane and Garland Jeffreys), but I haven't been motivated to buy tickets. Both are general admission and probably won't sell out, so I can make a last minute decision. I think I've just lost my mojo for going out for an evening of live music.
Didn't get to the Sunday night show but thankfully me and my wife DID get to the 3 sets last night. Surpassed my high expectations on many levels.
