It's that time again. And every Halloween I have one film which I must watch on October 31st.. it is ABBOTT AND COSTELLO MEET FRANKENSTEIN. It's got the three classic monsters, and is very festive in its feel (it even has a masquerade ball!).

I also try to watch HORROR HOTEL (aka CITY OF THE DEAD).

Do you have an annual staple that's a tradition each year?

Have A&C Meets Frankenstein on the list. Just rewatched Nightmares Before Christmas and Corpse Bride as well as the Disney cartoon version of Ichabod: The Legend of Sleepy Hallow.

I love HORROR HOTEL, and the blu ray I have of ABBOTT AND COSTELLO MEET FRANKENSTEIN looks stunning!

As far as a specific movie, other than the wife and I watching It's The Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown every Halloween I don't have a specific movie, I usually watch 1 or 2 classic horror movies every night starting about a week before Halloween.

The Rankin & Bass MAD MONSTER PARTY is one which I feel doesn't hold up as much as it did when I watched it as a kid, but I figure Halloween is the best time to watch it anyway!

The Horror of Dracula with Christopher Lee and Peter Cushing...old school look, feel, and scare - but not too much - perfect for Halloween with the boys!

I think "Trick 'r Treat" (2007) is perfect for Halloween.

A very guilty pleasure: House on Haunted Hill (1958). I saw it in the theatre when I was 11 and it made a huge impression. Lead me to Famous Monsters of Filmland (as did the Universal classics), other Castle films, the Poe American Internationl films, and anything Vincent Price.

The other is Frankenstein (1931). House was on TCM last night. Night of the Demon tonight.

I watch Young Frankenstein every year, but not necessarily on the 31st. Tonight I'll watch the 1931 Frankenstein.

I just saw the Abbot & Costello movie this week for the first time. Might add that to the annual viewing.

Try to rotate each year: Dead Of Night, or Queen of Spades, or the original Woman In Black. All these are great for winter viewing as well.

I just got the second set of Vincent Price blu ray collection in the mail today, I think I'll watch The Raven and The Comedy Of Terrors to finish out the day.

    Exactly.
I like to start with Its The Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown and then some episodes of Dark Shadows.
After that it could be anything depending on mood.
Mexican horror films from the 50s thru the 70s are really good even if you cant understand Spanish.

The Legend of Hell House - either I watch the film or read the original novel, Hell House.

Some years I watch The Fall Of The House Of Usher with the brilliant Vincent Price.

This year I watched The Woman In Black, and it may enter the lists in future years as well.

I can't stand slasher flicks - I like 'em traditionally creepy.
