    What is your dream turntable?
Personally, for me it's not the most expensive turntable available that only a super rich can afford but it's the one that is more attainable and you think would provide you a lifetime of analog nirvana.

    Here is mine:

    Turntable:
    Acoustic Signature Triple X
    Made in Germany
    Weight: 110 pounds

    Tonearm:
    Reed 3P 12-inch tonearm
    Made in Lithuania

Hmmmm.........I guess I can say I have it now. I moved my old Dual to a secondary system and for my primary I purchased a RP8. This is a table I thought I would never be able to own, but came across a demo and an offer I couldn't refuse.

    Standard tonearm
Soundsmith Otello cartridge, which came with the table

The Triple X you have pictured, I can see why it would be your dream turntable. Beautiful.

Congratulations! That's a nice turntable from a very reputable British audio manufacturer Rega. I just don't know how big of an improvement you can get if you upgrade to the RP10.

That looks very elegant yet substantial, without being over engineered, like the ones that cost as much as an M Class sometimes do. (Though I haven't looked at the price, it might cost as much as an M Class for all I know).

Thanks! To see any benefit from the RP10, I would likely have to upgrade a bunch of other stuff. And, be on the next episode of Divorce Court.

6K for the turntable without the tonearm
The Reed 3P is an expensive tonearm 5k to 6k but we are discussing our personal dream analog rig.
While saving more for the Reed 3P, a $700 Japanese-made 12-inch Jelco tonearm is an option.

How cool to love what I have, a VN 150 with SS counterweight, Bren weight, cork mat, and Ortofon 2m bronze. It delivers engrossing music and is pretty as it can be.

That's another beautiful German-made turntable. A mass-loaded one without a plinth. You can use a 12-inch tonearm on it.

I have a Rega RP6 now. My dream table would be the RP10. Anything else would be overkill for me. I want that one in the classifieds REAL BAD, I just cant swing it at the moment.

  14. The Audio store that I frequented during my College days featured Oracle as their top-of-the-line, and I thought it looked great and sounded great, so....

When analog was part of my main system I would have said TechDas AirForce 2 or 3, Basis Debut or Inspiration, Micro Seiki with vacuum hold down like an SX-5000 or Verdier La Platine. Now that it's just in a second system it's hard to spend that kind of money, something like an older Basis Debut with vacuum would be nice. Thought I could have snagged the one @ggergm was going to list! But I just love the way vacuum hold down makes vinyl even quieter and just love the sound of high mass/inertia tables with nothing else other than a belt in contact with the platter.

I was lucky enough to get my dream table about a week ago. I never in a million years thought that I would own something like this. I got such a good deal on it that I just couldn't pass it up.
Avid Sequel SP with an SME 309 tonearm and Avid power supply, Lyra Delos cartridge, Pulsus phono preamp. All in one shot.
The difference over my Pro-Ject RM-5 with Ortofon Bronze cartridge, PS Audio GCPH phono preamp is off the charts. Now I know what PRaT sounds like. Dynamic as all get out.
Truly a dream table for me.
