Has anyone ever photographed himself in (or simply taken a personal picture of) an environment seen on an album cover? Any Abbey Road tourists here? Giant's Causeway climbers? Arthur Lee abandoned-house explorers? A chap with a penchant for setting himself on fire and shaking hands with a friend? Just wondering about that sort of thing. It could make for a cool thread (or of course an eerily silent one with the occasional cricket).

I've been meaning to take a picture of myself near this farmhouse where Dylan posed (from the Self Portrait gatefold)

I've got an Abbey Road crossing pic with myself, my wife, her brother, and her brother's best friend crossing, but I'll need to dig it out and scan it.

I'd imagine that has to be the most photographed street crossing of all time.

According to a friend who has many original photos of Dylan (I'm not sure if he has this one), it is in Putnam County NY, but I need to talk to him again for the exact location

The day we were there, there were several groups of people having their photo done there. I snapped a shot for some tourists from South Africa.

It's actually impossible to get precisely the same shot as appears on the album cover; you'd need a ladder in the middle of the (Abbey) Road. Most amateur shots are taken slightly sideways from a nearby traffic island.

When we lived in the UK I was more or less on a quest to have my photo taken at as many major Beatle landmarks as possible. I managed to get Abbey Road and 3 Saville Row, and quite a few places in Liverpool as well.

Nice. The only major music-cover landmark that I'd like to see and have a picture next to is the powerplant on the cover of Animals. That's located somewhere across the pond, isn't it?

I used to pass by it regularly years ago.

The cover of Rush's "Moving Pictures" is the old city hall in downtown Toronto at Bay and Queen.
