Yeah, I feel ya. I'm that way with ELP. I should like them, but just don't...

 

A lot of my likes/dislikes were formed early on. ELP were a band I gravitated towards rather quickly. I’m still blown away by Brain Salad Surgery to this day. Besides ELP, who are some progressive musicians/bands that you just can’t get into?

I can totally see that. I like em but still.

 

Well, ELP except the first album, and maybe Pictures once a year. I agree on not catching on to Tull, though in my younger years I tried

 

No they arent. But Hemis and CA definitely are. Arguably 2112 and Farewell as well.

 

I once read that Rush a crossover progressive rock band. Whatever this actually means I have no idea. I think their period from Permanent Waves through Hold Your Fire was definitely a step in the an art rock direction.
