    List yer favourite 60’s albums!
RULES: ONLY MAX 2 BY EACH ARTIST.
That way no Beatles spam (or any other band).

Only one from my list is pre-‘66. Not because I don’t like stuff prior, but just because I LOVE psychedelia and the late 60’s is the best time for that genre of music. And even though I’m easily the most familiar with the 60’s more than any other decade, I still haven’t heard all that much prior to ‘65. It still awaits me!
    1. Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band - The Beatles (1967)
    2. The Piper at the Gates of Dawn - Pink Floyd (1967)

Sometimes I forget 1960 and ‘61 even existed since I never see them mentioned anywhere and I seriously could not tell you a single album released in those years (my music taste is limited atm). And oh man, so many albums from 1970 I wanted to add. Plastic Ono Band, Morrison Hotel, The Madcap Laughs etc. etc. Just missed out.

I have a strange feeling Revolver, Abbey Road, Forever Changes, Pet Sounds, Piper, Odessey, Village Green, Zeppelin II, Bitches, Kind of Blue and Blonde on Blonde will be some common mentions. Just a hunch ;)

Just got really into The Kink Kontroversy today after a few listens and really enjoyed yet another listen of Something Else the other day. Now I have a big urge to listen to Village Green and Arthur which I’ve never heard. Far out. What a legendary band.

I love all of those and at least six would make my top twenty, but I will leave them off my list and any of their other albums. This list could easily be dominated by Beatles, Love, Dylan, Kinks, Beach Boys. This also makes it easier because I love so many. I will also limit to one per artist. I also didn't include jazz, rocksteady, and blues favorites. Too many to fit in a list of 20.

    1. Small Faces- Small Faces (Immediate)
    2. The Byrds- Younger Than Yesterday
    3. Bee Gees- 1st
    4. Elvis Presley- From Elvis in Memphis
    5. The Box Tops- Cry Like A Baby
    6. Buffalo Springfield- Again
    7. The Velvet Underground- The Velvet Underground
    8. The Easybeats- Vigil
    9. Electric Prunes- Electric Prunes
    10. The Rascals- See
    11. Donovan- Hurdy Gurdy Man
    12. The Troggs- From Nowhere
    13. Rolling Stones-Between the Buttons
    14. The Stooges- The Stooges
    15. James Brown- I Can't Stand Myself When You Touch Me
    16. The Standells- Try It
    17. Simon and Garfunkel- Bookends
    18. Marvin Gaye- In the Groove
    19. Sir Douglas Quintet- Honky Blues
    20. Temptations- With A Lot O' Soul
