I think the first two posts hit all the ones I've seen. I just saw A Face In The Crowd for the first time last night and I couldn't believe how powerful it was, and that is why I mentioned it.

 

Have you seen Andy Griffith's in Hearts Of The West ?

 

No. I just searched for it at amazon and can't find it. IMDB has a listing from 1975, with Jeff Bridges. Is it one of those films that never came out on video?

 

I think it was also titled Hollywood Cowboy set in the 1920's hollywood film industry.
