Interesting to see that "Scream" (out of all of his songs) is the one that made you a fan.
I was mesmerized the first time I saw the "Billie Jean" video but the song that turned me into a fanatic was actually a demo. (PYT Demo)

 

Not sure, I'd always assumed they were done by another Jackson sibling. What I like is the overall sound, the rhythm and the string parts are eerily reminiscent of Marvin's Whats Going On, the album not the t/t, it helps that Jamerson played on both. I'll check the personnel and production credits, I expect to find some overlap..

 

Would love such a release.The fact that there are plenty of good unreleased songs from these sessions doesn't hurt!

TBH, I prefer the outtakes from the Bad sessions. Man! He had some funky stuff in the vaults.

 

I was 8 when it came out and I really don't recall hearing about MJ before that (I was into Elvis and 90's country). The video and song were EVERYWHERE in 1995, it was a big deal. This tape set (in longbox of course) was my first MJ album, a hell of an introduction IMO.
