How do I shrink a video to fit on youtube? I have a DVD-r transfer from video tape. Are there any FREE programs out there? I understand the video has to be under 100 megs...
If you have it in .VOB format, you can probably use DVDShrink: http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/dvd_rippers/dvd_shrink.cfm But to put it on Youtube, you may have to convert it to either AVI, .MOV, or .MPG file formats. For that you can use this: http://www.yasasoft.com/magicdvdripper/md_download.htm. Note that I have not used this conversion program, so I can't comment on it's features. Also be aware that the youtube limit is 100MB (which you know) and also 10 mins runtime.
Thanks, it's not worth the price for me to convert the DVD-r for $30.00...again, thanks for taking the time to help me out.
Oops... I didn't realize that was commercial software. From their cheesy webpage, I assumed it was freeware. You can get Dr. DivX free here: http://labs.divx.com/node/27
