Youtube vinyl videos. Do you all think some of these guys are paid shills?

I don't want to link to em, but you probably know what I mean. way too happy, handsome, shaved too close like a tv anchorman with makeup on and professional lighting.


I know there are other Shills online from the Beard community, I had a problem looking for a beard product, long story short, the recommendation were from employees of one of the beard product companies.

 

Probably not, unless it's recent stuff - I want to be that guy, probably would look the part, but the last thing I do is circle jerk vinyl - I want to talk music and some people do, while some just like to go on about how nice their pressing is for 30 minutes.

there is a thriving community of Vinyl enthusiast on youtube, the call it VC for Vinyl Community. recently there are a couple 3 or 4 that seem to have a huge collection and know next to nthing about the music. but are thrilled to death, like too thrilled. like a high school musical thrilled. Im not going to slander them if your not aware of them. I don't want to send more traffic to them and encourage them

Ok, if you think the videos posted from the vinyl community look like professional lighting and tv anchormen we must be seeing vastly different videos. The overwhelming majority are shot in someone’s basement or bedroom, with whatever lighting is available, and are simply people going through what records they’ve purchased lately. I think you’re bring incredibly overly critical...bordering on rude.

 

those are regular guy VC videos, the real enthusiast.

well, at least its not "vinyls". ive never seen any of these....but I don't have the patience to watch other people talk about their crap, I got enough of my own!

 

Why bother. People buying records based on people talking on youtube vids must be a tiny percentage of an already niche market

Some of the more well known guys probably have links to the industry and you see them get sent a lot of free product or review products but I don't think any of them are paid schills.
