Twilight Time doesn't skimp on extras...if they already exist on the DVD, they'll likely be ported over to the blu-ray...

Yeah, I know but you'd think it would come up as coming soon, or somethin'. I shouldn't ought to have to look outside the vortex! ;)

  3. Well I wouldn't say that. Yes, they usually port over the special features but a lot of their releases that didn't have special features before the release are skimpy IMHO. I've said it before and will say it again, I hate their business model. Yes, make it a limited edition but not as limited as they have for popular titles.

Although most people find Zardoz unwatchable, I find that ending scene where the 2 sit in their cave and we see them age and pass away before our eyes very affecting.

Except for one quick scene, the special effects in "Moby Dick" are really, really good. And, yes, that last scene is incredible.

I think Beethoven's 7th has a lot to do with that!

Who are these people? I find it hard to take my eyes off of the screen.

I know Zardoz seems unwatchable for a lot of people. But you have to consider when it was made. Some of the concepts were completely unheard of at that time. The movie blew me away when I saw it in the early 70s, and yes some of it was meant to be funny (the ***** is bad stuff). When I took a film class in college, one of the books we read drew on this film quite heavily from a filming technique standpoint. Lots of cool stuff.

Anyway, I have a soft spot for this one.

  13. I'm so happy we get to see the orange nappy bright and bold!

  14. As I recall originally Burt Reynolds was cast but couldn't do it or pulled out. Just think what might have been...

I think if you took acid and watched Zardoz, it would play like an episode of I Love Lucy.

You could count every hair on Sean Connery's body.

The first time I saw Diamonds Are Forever, I was shocked at how well you could detect Connery's toupee. As many DPs have said to me when we look at a high-def close-up of an actor, "sharpness is not our friend." :sigh:

Finally got my Zardoz order in. I'm worried this one is going to sell out quickly.

So it's 5000 instead of 3000 now, or was it originally 1000?

That's a lot of people lining up to see Sean Connery in a red diaper.

  24. Well they just shipped mine. They had that large sale which means they got behind. Seems to me that the preorders should be a priority. I'm a little disappointed at how they handled this shipping something new that was preorders a week late.
