    I love that disc! I think the surround mix of What's Going On comes across as a little of both the single and the album. It has the more prominent strings from the album, but there is more room for the rhythm track which recalls the sparer, funkier single mix.

    Grant Life is a rock, but the radio rolled me!

    While some mixes can be nice, I believe in the original mix. While a select few mixes can sound great, and of the period from which the music actually came, such as "Hang On Sloopy", most wind up sounding too clean and modern, like on the Smokey Robinson & The Miracles CD.

    I don't believe in using remixes on major best ofs and greatest hits packages unless no original full or two track exists or is usable. Even then, I would look for a vinyl source or other means before I remixed.

    I guess Mikey wouldn't use me as a compilation producer!:D
