I got the new Zwan album, Billy Corgan's new project. There's a limited edition with a DVD but after watching it (it runs 40 mins.) I feel they shouldn't have bothered There are some cool shots of the band at work and play, and a couple worthwhile concert segments but overall I wuz bored. The album has some interesting bits, evidently this project has been in the works for about 2 years, so there should be something good on it, LOL. I like the I JESUS/MARY STAR OF THE SEA workout, a bit Pumpkinesque and the 3 guitar attack is interesting. Nice use of light and shade on various cuts. The last song, Come With Me, sounded positively retro and it includes harmonica (!). Any other thoughts/opinions?
I picked up the CD with the DVD also. The DVD is pretty boring, but it was only $3 more. I like this CD, I would recommend it. So far, "Of A Broken Heart" is one that I enjoyed right away. Have fun. Joe
Well, I've listened to it twice now, and noticed that Of A Broken Heart is a waltz I like it tho. This album seems more tuneful with less anger and agression than the Pumpkins.
