Is that the tour with John Fogerty?

I'm thinking about going to that show next week in Clearwater. It's at a park on the water so it should be nice and chill.

Yes, and it was a blast, despite the Borgata Casino's "Event Center" being about as soulless a venue you could find. ZZ was on first, then Billy did two-songs mid-Fogerty set. For those curious, the set lists are up here:

That's an unusually short set, even for ZZ Top, must have been under an hour?

I've seen them basically everytime they've come around here since the mid 90s, but I have never caught them playing neither "I Thank You" nor "Pearl Necklace", even though the songs are in and out of the set regularly.

About an hour, but don't forget this tour is a co-headlining gig with John Fogerty. Billy also came out and did two songs with Fogerty.

That looks like a great setlist, I’d love to see that show but I’m in the UK and John Fogerty is just doing one date in London and with different support. I have the recentish ZZ Top live blu-ray and watch it often. Also getting to hear all those Creedance tracks would be awesome.

It was a fun combination. Fogerty is apparently ageless, full of energy, and since ZZ have looked like old men since they were young men they always look just like themselves. I need to count up to get the exact number but I'm definitely in the 50-shows-by-ZZ area, going back to the Fandango tour of 1975. Next show in four weeks...

I’ll be seeing them next Saturday in Austin. No JF so hopefully it’ll be a longer set.

Darn, some interesting events there in the last couple months..........Ringo, Kenny Loggins, Jackson Browne, Fogerty, ZZ, Foreigner, Kansas. How many does this place hold?

Just under 2500. It's just a big box essentially, with the front sections flat on the floor and the rear sections on risers. It has no soul at all, but I guess once the lights go down it doesn't matter that much.

The records all come in replicas of the original inner sleeves (no separate anti-static sleeves) but are large enough to house an anti-static sleeve. Four of the covers are gloss with the exception of Afterburner. I'm going to sell the copy of Deguello as I already own the previous issue of this Chris Bellman cut. The Deguello in the box has a gloss cover but the previous Chris Bellman issue has a mat cover, does anyone know which sort the original release had?

Did anyone else get their copy yet? Mine were pressed at MPO, is it the same for the EU and US box?

Just got my Cinco No. 2 box today. Is anyone less than impressed with the overall quality this time around?

I didn't have much time to compare (I got my No. 2 box sent to work and dropped it off at home during lunch break) but the cover of my copy of Elimator has a seam split, the art work for Afterburner kind of cuts off on the right side of the front cover leaving a white strip at the edge of the sleeve, and I could have sworn I heard some drop outs in the audio during a test play of My Heads In Mississippi on Recycler.

The actual sleeves are nice and glossy, but seem really thin and flimsy. The records sound pretty decent otherwise, but my overall impression right now is "meh". I'm not usually so nitpicky, may have to bounce this back to Amazon to get another run at it.

did you get the EU or US box? (Not sure there's even a difference). I got the EU box and didn't have any of those issues. I compared them with my original pressings and for once no issues with non-fill, drop outs etc. Just checked the Afterburner cover and it's all there, and no splits or faults with any of the others. I also don't consider them flimsy, the out jackets are thick and glossy (except one is mat) and inside they've replicated the inner sleeves and labels. I'm the opposite and am impressed with this set, it actually took me doing a mix 'n' match with Cinco 1 to get all 5 LPs without non-fill.

I've got the US box. I compared sleeve thickness with the first Cinco box and I guess they are on par with eachother. Maybe a tad bit thinner? Not a big deal, but a few of mine have corner dings right out of the box as well. Here's a shot of my Afterburner cover. I don't have an original copy to compare with, but this just appears a bit sloppy IMO. Now to give them a spin and take a good look at the vinyl. What's the best way to spot non-fill? It should be pretty easy to spot right?

My Afterburner cover doesn’t have that white line, I think you’ve just got a a badly cut copy. Non-fill you’ll hear (and it is visible) but as I said, my set didn’t have any so if your records sound good don’t worry!
