My wish would be a vinyl release of

    "NO STONE UNTURNED vols. 1 & 2"
    by THE ROLLING STONES

The collection features all UK "side tracks" such as singles, b-sides and rarities from the US albums.

It was released as part of the iTunes collection last year, and with the 3 UK EP's released on the previous years RSD,
it would make great sense for this collection to become available in a physical format as well.

Maybe now, with Dylan's "Side Tracks" release for RSD, one could wish that ABKCO could get inspired to do this one as well.

It would make a great 4-LP set.

    Tracklist:

    No Stone Unturned Vol. 1

    1.Fortune Teller
    2.Poison Ivy (Version 1)
    3.Come On
    4.I Want to Be Loved
    5.I Wanna Be Your Man
    6.Stoned
    7.Not Fade Away
    8.It's All Over Now
    9.Good Times, Bad Times
    10.Time Is On My Side
    11.Congratulations
    12.Look What You've Done
    13.Little Red Rooster
14.Everybody Needs Somebody to Love (short version)
    15.Surprise, Surprise
    16.The Last Time
    17.Play With Fire
    18.One More Try
    19.My Girl
20.I've Been Loving You Too Long
    21.(I Can't Get No) Satisfaction
    22.The Spider and the Fly

    No Stone Unturned Vol. 2

    1.Get Off of My Cloud
    2.The Singer Not the Song
    3.As Tears Go By
    4.Blue Turns to Grey
    5.19th Nervous Breakdown
    6.Sad Day

I hope they continue with the Miles Davis mono releases. ESP? Yes please!
I've posted elsewhere on this forum that Jim Hall deserves the RSD treatment. Bossa Antigua, Hemispheres, etc... so many great albums.

I've been very fortunate to attend RSD at Strictly Discs in Madison, WI. They are always well stocked with all titles and highly organized.
I now live in Bend, OR and will make the trek to Portland this April. Which store should I line up at? Who in Portland gets the best stock? Feel free to PM if you can help.

The 5 track Live EP "REM Greensboro" got a vinyl and cd release last April and the CD was fetching good money on ebay.

IMO, there is room for some RSD cd releases. Especially stuff that would otherwise only get a download release.

  8. Everyday Music on Burnside at 8am, then head down the street to Jackpot for 9am (maybe 10am). I forget.

Music Millennium looks like Walmart on Black Friday. I avoid it.

I'd love an audiophile set of Elton John's first 9 albums.

Music Millennium has been a record store for longer than everyday and jackpot put together. It deserves the respect of anyone who considers themselves a fan of brick and mortar. Excellent store clerks, as good a selection as any store you will walk into, and an owner that cares about his customers. Walmart? Hardly. Excited record buyers with passion for music? Bingo.

  11. ........... there are hundreds of people there in the morning and if you prefer to lineup with them out of some sense of respect, off you go. I'll give myself a better chance of getting what I want by going to the other stores.

I spend my $ at several stores around town, I pledge allegiance to none of them.

Come to think of it, Walmart is more Jackpot with people climbing all over each other for the door buster socks special, where Music Millenium has you lineup in an orderly fashion. I do like the other stores too, great in their own ways, but I prefer getting my cd's at Voodoo

Audiophile labels have their loyal buyers and don't "need" RSD.

Do you really want to join the scrum to buy stuff without any reviews beforehand so you don't have to deal with ebay after the fact?

I've seen the album covers for Rocks, Draw the Line, Night in the Ruts and Rock in a Hard Place in the NJ plant that cuts them.
They were there since September but were finally shipped to RTI recently.

Do you walk out with everything on your list at Music Millennium?
MarkO was being helpful answering my question, I don't think he meant any disrespect. He did imply he needed to visit 2 different stores to try to get everything however. If i'm going to drive 3 hours and get in line at silly hours of the morning I want to be at the store with the most stock.
I see that MM, Jackpot and Everyday have multiple locations. That makes me worry they have to spread their allotment around making it even more difficult to find titles. Any truth to this?

Wow! Great news. That actually takes me right thru all the Aerosmith I need. The band doesn't do anything for me after those titles.
    Thanks.

My wish list would be vinyl releases of the early Radiohead EPs, especially stuff like Airbag/How Am I Driving; My Iron Lung; and Itch. The band was on such a great run in the early '90s and to my knowledge most of the EP tracks have never been available on vinyl. Even the CD versions are becoming hard to find.

Music Millenium has one location actually. Comparing MM to a Walmart is not a fair assessment, just want to give another opinion, which really counts for nothing at the end of the day. All three deserve our attention for being still in the game at this point in the music industry. Bless them all
