if you are concerned about Fleabay flippers, just get in line a few days before they do. if it means that much to you, you should be willing to get there before they do. I never have any problem getting the titles I want.

There's a store down the street now and there's no need to drive to Newark, besides camping isn't allowed there.
Besides putting the complete RSD inventory (in multiple copies) on a display wall for the first three people in line to grab left a lot of p'ssed off people besides me and I was #4 in line.

More than a year ago I had read that they were working for a video/audio release as NYAPS. The concert was filmed by LA Johnson and recorded by Nike Bolas and broadcast on USA and Canada cable televisions.

It was my sole purchase at RSD last year.

I wasn't impressed by the colored "Kiss Me" at all, and am constantly surprised by the positive reviews it consistently receives around here - especially in comparison to the original.

There could be differences in US and EU pressings.

My copies of Three Imaginary Boys and faith were dreadful, and I have originals of both. I don't have an original of Kiss Me, but the pressing itself was a definite improvement on the other two.

The US version on Rhino is far superior to my US original on Sire. *shrug*

"Kiss Me" wasn't on Sire. It was on Elektra. Perhaps we are talking about different albums

It was on Elektra, but we're talking about the same album. Some earlier Cure material was on Sire in the US, plus I've been spinning a lot of Sire vinyl recently (Echo, Depeche Mode, Smiths), so I had a brain lapse and typed "Sire."

My point remains, the American RSD reissue blows away an original American pressing of Kiss Me x 3.

Colored vinyl has come a long way over the years from what I hear. I collect Mondo soundtracks. Every time I get a variant color it sounds great. I've had a chance to compare a few with the black counterparts and there's no difference.

Picture discs and glow in the dark not so great for sound but still fun.

I must say there is not much for me but I hope there will be some good titles in the future.

Awesome. Now the question is whether"official release" means actual releases: Time Fades Away, On The Beach, TTN, and Zuma OR the 4 scrapped 70's albums that were supposed to be released on vinyl in 2010: Chrome Dreams, Homegrown, Oceanside-Countryside, and Odeon-Budokan. Hopefully the scrapped albums, but those wouldn't constitute "5-8" I believe.

The Rhino "Kiss Me" doesn't even come close to "blowing away" the Elektra. Even if one finds it better, "blows away" is unnecessarily and unrealistically hyperbolic. Anyway, in my opinion the Elektra sounds better than the Rhino.

I agree - to me there's no consistent difference.
