Are you kidding as I don't see this listed?

  2. More specifically, it'll be 5 10"'s of the singles from the album, with various non-LP b-sides. The first description I saw of this, I thought it was just a release of the album across 5 discs, which would be stupid but no more so than releasing an album as a box set of one-sided 7"'s, which has been done.

There's also a non-RSD deluxe reissue of Superunknown coming, with I'm looking forward to with the usual mix of anticipation and trepidation.

Rumor around that there will be an LCD Soundsystem 5LP Box. I'd be all over that one, but little else from what I've seen.

What's the point of this? A vinyl release of Jim sung b-side "Who Scared You" is the only thing unique and worthwhile. Will they reissue "13" for Black Friday RSD?

Why not do 45 reissues, mono, single edits, vinyl BMAs?

Jampol can find a way to release "Weird" but not Matrix/Fog/LAW outtakes/who knows what else?

I'll be picking up for sure The Neil Young box and Sundazed The Litter-Action Woman/A Legal Matter blue vinyl 45 reissue (if it's available at Twist And Shout in Denver).

Speak for yourself.I'm sure more fans want this comp than "13".I'm nearly totally burned out on the Doors (have owned all the albums mostly on cd) but I think I will pick this up.Hands down the best Doors compilation ever made IMO!

I own a vintage vinyl copy of the comp.

I'm not convinced serious fans will touch it or casual will want to pay $30 for a comp without Light My Fire , Love Me Two Times or Hello I Love You.

AFAIK, it's the first Doors "best of" comp on vinyl in nearly 3 decades. There might have been some very limited vinyl in Europe circa 1991.

The Best of the Doors was a 3LP + 12" set from 2000, see http://www.discogs.com/Doors-The-Best-Of-The-Doors/release/1310232
I wonder how this "new" compilation will sound, having sides that run for more than 25 minutes.

So can a kind soul tell me if those 4 Neil Lps from that box are worthy. I'm very unfamiliar with those releases Zuma etc. Also. What is the word on the Cow Palace sound quality?
