Interesting. I wonder how they sound and if it will be mastered specifically for vinyl. Not that it matters I guess, since I'll be buying the Idle Race LP either way.

are you joking? most Doors fans (serious ones) mostly bypassed the "hits" to get to the essential, heavier (darker) stuff. And this comp has the most of that!

I am listening to the Idle Race now from the box. It's not bad but if it is a digital copy of that on vinyl I would pass.

Just so pricey to find on vinyl at all, it might be worth the $20...

Wasn't sure I am going, just told my wife about the R.E.M. Box set. Looks like I am going. She is going with me. Apparently we are going early.

Dream on. No way there will be the 4 scrapped albums in this box. That would be a revolution.

    According to http://new-vinyl.blogspot.com

Sam Cooke - Ain't That Good News (50th Anniversary Edition)
Donny Hathaway - Live At The Bitter End

are getting LP releases. The Hathaway, most likely, is the same as what was presented on CD3 of the recent Never My Love box set.

Definitely in for The Idle Race and The Everly Brothers' Roots. There's a rumor that the new remaster of The Zombies' Odessey and Oracle is scheduled for RSD in the US. I've been tempted by the UK import, but at $45 it might be better to wait and see.....damn, I am such a consumer....

Anyone have any idea what may be on the Grateful Dead release "Live at the Coliseum"? With only 2lps, maybe it's a selection from the recent 77 box?

Crap. I'll have to get Zombies if that becomes reality. They seem to be on an RSD roll - last day they had the mono S/T.

I wonder if they'll be sold separately or as a set.

Is it safe to assume that it is not the Yardbirds Little Games album?

Very possibly, I would think, one of the new songs from the upcoming remasters, much as the Stones released Plunder my Soul from the Exile sessions a few years back on RSD.

Indeed that were my thoughts also. Or at least something that has to do with the new remasters. It would be a great oppertunity.

As someone who will be away from home on RSD, can someone tell me when the line starts forming at Grimey's in Nasville? Thanks
