I wonder if any video footage exists from the tour? I saw it performed at Detroit's Cobo Arena - listened to hear Edits #8 and #9 on the radio before I had the album.

I'm looking forward to this one. I was never that big on Passion Play but I get the feeling that the new mixes will give it a whole new life for me, and of course the Chateau sessions is a great bonus.

On Youtube I believe you can still see an attempt to create a full Passion Play video out of a few minutes shot by Chrysalis plus some audience shot material. I think that is as close as you will get.

Interesting to see "Sailor" included when Tull's web site used to claim no copy of it was in Ian's vault.

Yes, I remember watching that - I do have a fairly good audio recording of one of the shows.

I have to admit that even as a pretty big JT fan I never was too crazy about the APP album, but actually haven't listened to it <I don't own it> really in decades! I have listened to the Château Disaster tapes on my "Nightcap" cd and liked it OK.
This package is a must-buy being in a nice book format and two albums mixed to 5.1 by Steven Wilson! Should be the perfect way to re-introduce myself to this album. :agree:

    Yes it would sorry.

  14. Fantastic news! I had even forgotten there was an >outro film< to the show!

About the Château d'Hérouville material, should this be pre-90s flute overdubs? These overdubs were cool, but I'd love to hear it warts and all...

I believe Ian said he didn't want to know if he still had it or not.

This is one of those things you would never imagine would happen not so long ago. A true dream. This is Tull at their very peak.

That was just Ian's humour. He did not like the song and hated being constantly asked about it.

Exactly the way I feel. This was never one of my favorite Tull's, but the Chateau sessions will make my purchase.
