Surprisingly, I've never heard of this product until today. A search here shows a few posts about this product, but not since 2013. Looks like there is nobody in the USA who sells this, so that might explain why I haven't heard of it. Anybody have any experience with this stuff?

Edit, here is their website: http://recordrevirginizer.com/

It sez here it "repairs your vinyls" so I'm already suspicious. I'm happy with my resuscitated VPI 16, seems to do as much as can be done to the very old LPs I pick up from yard sales.

G'day all, I had a friend who used the product and his opinion was that it was quite effective, but a very slow process, but his biggest negative was that it was way overpriced in his opinion.

For that reason he would not use it again. Regards, Felix.

Sounds similar to the old "wood glue method" to me....

G'day mate, yes, and the wood glue method probably works just as well! Regards, Felix.

I see this in a lot of record shops here, usually priced around $50 a pop. Just seems like an expensive way to buy wood glue to me, but I haven't tried it meself. Here it is in action...

Seems to be more gelatinous than any wood glue I've tried, but I haven't got hold of the Titebond II yet.

I'd be more likely to try Last Record Preservative.

I see Toneaudio has raved about it, though. Hmm.

Here's why they say they're better than wood glue.

I've used it. It does work. It does a good deep cleaning. It does not perform miracles but it can make a good condition record very good. I got from Juno in the U.K for around $40 U.S

Less than $25 for a bottle in the US. Hmmmm.

Id love to try it, as wood glue always breaks apart when I peel it off.
Well theyre not going to say wood glue is good, they dont want competition, they do have to sell product. Best way to scare people into buying. Some people (like me) arent going to put microscopes on their records looking for remnants of the goo. That goo would go a lot further with me since I usually only clean 45s.

Cripes, I'm very impressed by the before-and-after samples. Especially the Eurythmics one.

I tried wood glue. It was a bloody mess. Like the faq says, it left lots of stray fragments. I took one look at the "cleaned" record and tossed it. No way my stylus was going to risk that.

I've wood glued about fifty records. Only one got ruined, and it was my fault for letting it sit too long before peeling.

But every single time I was completely paranoid.

I may just give this stuff a shot for my drastic cracklies that don't show much improvement after going through the Spin Clean. A bottle shipped from Oz is half the price of the Last Preservative I was contemplating.

    Argh. My brain hurts.

Well I always vacuumed my records after gluing them to make sure there were no glue fragments. It really deneded on how thick I laid on the glue. When not enough, made crazy fragments. vacuuming after made for a pretty pristine disc.

My ex-wife tried it on herself. It didn't work.

Re the static charge, it's true. When I wet clean the record after using Titebond II, the static charge goes away.

If you want me to drop $50 on your product, try giving it a less eye-rollingly obnoxious name.

We know wood glue works. Why wouldn't this work? Like I said above, it's got a rave review from Tone Audio. Unless you're referring to the price. ;)
