Just checked and did not find a stereo version on my DVD-A. So I've been listening to a mixdown. Still sounds pretty good.

Now enjoying this superb recording of the complete Etudes Tableaux. Only my second spin, but my first spin was so impressive that I decided his Etudes Tableaux were even better than my prior favorite, John Ogdon. Sadly, it's OOP. amazon link

Unlike LP, you can never tell scratches on a CD will make it unplayable until you play it ...

The price at which EMI originally released the set was quite reasonable as well.

    They are the same.

Since I obtained the A4 recordings more or less as they came out, I have to be careful about buying recent releases by them because they can be a repackaging of what I already have.

It is my favorite type of classical music. I could listen to Emma all day long. What is more beautiful than A4 vocals?

Baroque and early music are my favorite with a heavy emphasis on vocal works. But I have always strived for a balanced collection to ensure the classical period composers like Beethoven, Haydn and Mozart, etc are also well represented.

I actually have a pretty good-sized classical music LP collection, though I have not played LP's much for many years. I have the Thorens and DUAL, top turntables for their time but probably no match for the modern turntables ...
