Amazon currently has it listed at $149.98.

    Can you beat that?

Releases like these almost make me want to join amazon prime, but still I hesitate.

I opted for full price, with 2-day shipping (meaning it will arrive on Nov. 4th, I hope) for a total of around $158.00. I'm still waiting to see if they lower the price, like they did with Another Self Portrait, but if a better deal pops up in this thread, I might rethink that strategy.

That 86$ price at amazon.ca for the CD set will never come back I am afraid.

    I think you're right, but I still don't get it. $86 is still over $14 a cd which isn't exactly a steal.

I would love to find a better price for this set. I look for it to go under $100 before release. However I seem to remember paying $100 for "Another Self Portrait" Deluxe and it was only 4 CDs. So I won't hold my breath.

I'm hoping for a final price of around a buck-and-a-quarter ($125) signed, sealed and delivered on November 4th. (Again - that's November 4th, Amazon.)

Yes, but it has only a fraction of the tracks.

They have me on this one. I wil pay whatever ransom they desire for the release of the mystical Basement Tapes.

I'll likely just wait until after November 4th, then use Amazon points to get as close to free as possible.

(points no longer allowed on pre orders)

Play 'em for all you can get.

Because of shipping snafus with Another Self Portrait from amazon last year, it only cost me about $50 for the 4-disc box (half price) after I complained. So if have to pay a little more for the Basements, that's OK. As long as they're all they're cracked up to be.

That's the thing, already got $660. in pre orders, plus I'm constantly going for the lowest possible price anywhere, whether that means using eBay, or using Amazon points, or Bull Moose points, whatever.
Home base is my Amazon Wish List, and in the notes section of each item, is the corresponding UPC code for copying, and pasting at online retailers all over the Information Superhighway. :D
    I'm certain that $150. will be found a lot lower before 2014 ends. I do feel it's a " must-have " purchase though.
Another listen to the MFSL SACD last night confirmed that !

Think about all of Dylan's lost royalty payments from the boots that have been out since the late '60s. I think we should all send him an extra check. (Not really -- I'm sure I've personally paid for at least one of his children to go to college, considering how many of his albums I've bought, and all the concerts I've attended.)

Earned by using an Amazon VISA card. I have one too, and it's how I subsidize most of my music purchases.

Ah! Thanks for that. I should look into one. Too bad it probably isn't retro-active!

Definitely not retroactive, but if you use a credit card and you like music bought from amazon, might as well get a amazon CC.

You really should Donald. I use it for everything except the rent ! Even my son pays his child support through it !!!

3% for all Amazon & Marketplace purchases
2% for Gas / Pharmacy / Restaurants / Office Supplies
    1% for everything else

I HIGHLY recommend it. And before anyone tries to get negative, I pay it in full every month. Haven't spent one penny on interest in nearly 3 years now.
