Looks like a Christian New Age album.

Gilmour's On an Island had pretty lame artwork too, so I don't trust his judgement in the visual realm. Yikes. We need you, Storm!

Meh, OAI was pretty good, being as it reflects the album title, and it isn't by Storm, either. But this one....yeah, I'm wondering why the band really would approve of this one.

Cross between the Life of Pi movie, a Jesus pamphlet and a parody of Storm's photo work.

It hasn't been confirmed that this is the official album cover yet.

I did a Google Search By Image with this and got nothing.

Ugh. Most of the best PF album covers have a "simpler is better" aesthetic.

    I like the cover.
The river is made of clouds not water. The person in the boat could be a representative image of Rick Wright.
Therefore, I view it as Rick up in heaven on "The Endless River".
    Just my 2 cents.
It is a very nice way to remember him.

That is precisely what I don't like about it (if it is indeed the cover). The symbolism is too thick and obvious, which is sort of unusual for PF covers.

I read that the new album will feature part of an older performance of Rick's from a '69 concert rehearsal. Apparently, this tidbit was gleaned from a forthcoming issue of Uncut Magazine, but I have no confirmation.
Agreed. If that's the real thing, it's pretty cheesy, IMO.

If that is the cover, then whoever conjured this piece up a couple months back wasn't too far off:

    EDIT: Beaten.

That is really, really bad. Unremarkable. Hope it won't happen.
I would rather take the first one.

The Pink Floyd frontman who wrote the humanist/atheist anthem "A Pocketful Of Stones" sanctioned the cheesy "boat in heaven" album cover? Let's hope not.

Maybe cheesy is ok for an album cover? Wish You Were Here is kind of cheesy too.
Dark Side is super. I like Animals cover as well. The rest of them are so-so. Division Bell is plain ugly. IMHO of course.

Makes sense; it really looks like a pic of Rick. Maybe not the image we'll see on the cover; it could be one of the pics included inside the booklet.

Don't you guys find it interesting that this is supposedly - allegedly the last Pink Floyd album, and it's called "The Endless River", and Throbbing Gristles (supposedly, allegedly) last album was called "The Endless Not" ???

    Both bands hail from England.

    Both bands have had infighting.

Both bands featured one main member who released albums under the banner.

Both bands had a member who recently passed away.

Psychic TV (Throbbing Gristle) has covered Pink Floyd (and Syd Barrett) songs.

Is all of this just a lucky string of "coincidences"? I think "not"!!!!
