    The book sounds interesting.
i'm not sure the catalog by itself would be of much more use thah Wikipedia (which, I'm sure you noted, has links to articles on many of the works).

Heard the Academy of St. Martin in the Fields live back in the late 1980's…I remember that they did Mahler's arrangement of Schubert's "Death and the Maiden." It was sublime.

As I said the British press loved them. There are two two disc sets. Here is the Amazon link to the first.

Guess they deserve a second listen.

While Steinway does not quite hold the monopoly as in the past, it's still the primary choice. I'm starting to see more Fasoli pianos, too, and they sound excellent.

"Quite good" is a fair estimation. ;)

For some reason they, the orchestra, like him. The proceedings on the stage seemed to confirm that. I already listened and deleted to whopping file. Don't believe I'm gonna buy this concert. But the tango was nice (except without the balls: too cute as a tango)!

I've seen a lot of praise on this forum for ModWright's Oppo 105 mod. I am contemplating it.

Ok, question time: why is this a 2SACD set? The original cd is 75 minutes long (I still have it and am looking into upgrading to the SACD) so is this lenghth an issue with SACD in the sense that SACDs can't hold that much music in 3 discreet programs (cd stereo, SA stereo, SA Surround) ?:

No need for two discs. I have any number of SACDs that include surround and run 75 minutes or more. I think I read somewhere that they can hold a little over 100 minutes (or over 4 hours of stereo only content - I have one of those). Of course the CD layer cannot, so you don't see discs like that very often.
