It looks like that was *probably* De Lane Lea. They had a Sound Techniques desk (or desks; not sure if the original 4-track desk was upgraded or replaced when they went to 8-track), a similar white acoustic tile treatment in the control room, and a similar 8-track.

Studio footage of the Jeff Beck Group at De Lane Lea:

Note the talkback mic and its position on the console are the same as the Page photo.

Could the engineer in the Page photo be Martin Birch? Anyone have a clue what the session could have been for?

I think it could be for "Beck-Ola" their second album! Awesome video!

Definitely for the video. But it's unclear what session that Jimmy Page photo comes from.

That pic of Kate Bush is her at Abbey Road and I think that is the Penthouse control room.
I have a book that Abbey Road put out that gives more details, but it is back at the house half a state away.
Regardless that is one of the EMI consoles.

Almost certainly Studio 2. TG mark 4 desk.

I don't believe the Penthouse studio ever had a TG desk.

Is this the first example of close-mic'ing a drum??:

    I'm pretty sure that's DJ Fontana's kit:

Very cool pictures Steve, I had no idea that's what the Harvest console looked like!

Several more photos and a video here:

Already covered elsewhere, but for newcomers to the thread, note that was a staged shot. Actual sessions had a fair amount of isolation.

Thanks lukpac very cool read. Always liked the sound of Harvest, would imagine this console played a part.

John, that green board is a real transient killer (like all UA stuff). Sometimes that's a good thing if one likes smooth (like Harvest).

I see, Harvest certainly is smooth. Any other big recordings that use the green monster?

Is it likely that most of the artists on this wiki page recorded through that board? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Harvest_Records

Per the Sound Techniques USA Facebook page, it's Dave Siddle at De Lane Lea.

    @Chris M, FYI.
